FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Zeynep Orberk Büyükuğur, founder and creative director of Oriental Monkey, has worked as editor-in-chief and fashion director for many years in Turkey's leading fashion and lifestyle magazines. After a successful career in international magazines such as Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Madame Figaro and Martha Stewart Weddings, she decided to continue her carreer in jewelry, which has been her passion since childhood. Zeynep Orberk Büyükuğur, who has been designing jewelry for her close family members & friends for many years, turned this passion into a business and founded her own brand in 2020.

As in all areas of life, she has drawn a different path for her brand with the importance she attaches to sustainability, timelessness and craftsmanship in jewelry. Oriental Monkey has become a jewelry brand where each design is individually handcrafted and only produced in limited editions. Zeynep Orberk Büyükuğur's biggest source of inspiration for her jewelry, which makes a difference with its mastery of details, handmade and limited edition production, is nature. Inspired by different cultures, geographies, architectural traces, archaeology and travels, Oriental Monkey jewelry, which has a sustainable and unique spirit just like nature itself, carries traces and inspirations from all over the world.  

Dr. ANTONIO MARSOCCI
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Born in 1971, Marsocci hails from the Tuscan town of Pisa. Famous for its beautiful weather, mouth-watering food and gorgeous artisan crafts, Pisa was where a young Marsocci developed his passion for creativity.

After completing a degree in International Business Law at the University of Pisa, he made the move to the UK’s undisputed fashion capital of London in 1996. Here, Marsocci went on to secure leadership positions with a handful of prestigious global brands including Never Fully Dressed, Dermalogica, Habitat, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Trussardi and Matchesfashion.
